The Rocky Isles / The S.W.I.F.T.
History
The cluster of heavily forested islands on the Western end of Evergreen Deep is known as the Rocky Isles. Though home to a few Tabaxi, the isles are mostly used as seasonal fishing stops and hunting grounds. Despite the name, vegetation thrives on nearly all the islands the in the archipelago. The long defunct and abandoned everore mines on the islands also make for perfect habitats for growing mushrooms and asparagus native to the region as well as an excellent location for wine cellars. The few aristocratic Tabaxi who can afford to purchase the islands privately usually keep armed guards to protect their investments as well as expert gardeners to tend to their crops. However, as part of the contracts owed to the Civilian Republic for purchasing the land, access to the Islands is granted for the purpose of the S.W.I.F.T. Games. The S.W.I.F.T. & Rules of Engagement
Taking place across a number of the islands the swift games have been a part of Tabaxi tradition for over 1000 years. As the islands that host the event change each year, the competition could be best described as a trial of stealth and cunning. Spells are allowed along with bludgeoning weapons. Though ranged weapons are not allowed competitors are allowed to bring any thrown weapon that they have proficiency with. No more than 6 weapons are allowed to be brought into combat, though many combatants in the later rounds can easily find many abandoned weapons strewn about the island.
