The Pious Tide

A semiannual celebration in Spritzlewerks in which a mass of clerics, priests, and monks gather to celebrate the Irradeascent faith. The Pious Tide is said to bring good fortune to all those in attendance as an extension of Mazzu's love for her people. The celebration is usually scheduled for four days but has been known to go on for as long as two weeks in some cases.   The festivities include:
  • Na luim-ial (the sailor's wish) in which wishes are written on small model ships and cast out at sea. It is a tradition that dates back centuries and it is said that Mazzu chooses one wish to grant among thousand of na luim-ial.
  • Spaziq Ah, a tradition geared more toward adults in which 100 gnomish spritzers are prepared within a family and each individual takes a turn confessing a truth and drinking a spritzer.
  • Lastly Keppa-ru a Sil is the children's celebration which involves children playing a game in which they begin in all white and chase each other with towels soaked in blue dye. The last child who has no blue on their person is considered the winner. This celebration is particularly popular in the Township of Indicolite which is famous for its production of various blue dyes.
