The Hot Wall

Originally thought to be a mountain chain by the earliest Dwarves but during Espen's Molten Period, the chain was revealed to be a chain of active volcanos approximately 118 miles long.  The Hot Wall had served to protect the City of Flux from invasion and provided a source of heat during the winter months which allowed for running water through the year.   As a geographical feature the Hot Wall created what should have been a level of security for the Genasi city.  The consistent lava flows through the area made marching an armed Regiment through the area a seemingly impossible task, but the dwarves carved a path through the stone, finding a narrow passage towards the northern gates of the city.  After the fall of Flux, Mithrigal was christened and the passage through the hot wall was cut off by the intentional creation of new lava flows.   Despite the preceived security the hot wall provides, the dwarves have held that where the impossible was done before, the impossible can be done again and ensure that half a regiment patrol the Northern Laval flows to prevent any possible Genasi agression. To date no other group has ever attempted to traverse the area.
