The Halfway Inn

History & Lore

Positioned between Drydock and Dryspell along the Panitarick River is the Halfway Inn. Known for its convenience on the road to Fizzlebreach the inn sports a number of amenities that have made it (and its respective twin cities) a common stop for caravaners.   Its most popular feature is the secure storehouses in the basement of the inn. As a tax is leveed on any products moving throught Drydock a few wealthy individuals rennovated the space and had it resevered for storage.  Leaving large stores of champaigne and wine untaxed. The pratice is frowned upon by the govenor of Drydock but as the Halfway Inn is just beyond the city limits there isn't much to be done.

Management

The Inn had falled on hard times with the decline in poputlation, but when Bidon Hemist took over he knew the Inn would never survive without a new revenue stream. It wasn't until he heard a human and a gobin compaining about taxes that he found the answer to his problem.  Offering them the chance to store and partake in their wares anytime they would like without having to pay taxes.  Keeping his prices only slightly lower than the taxes, he'd found his consistent revenue stream.
