The Guilded Reserve: Bank of Espen HQ

History

Located in the heart of Alttanes, the Guilded Reserve was created by Atticus Poundstone and Argent Snox in UE 701. The Guilded Reserve is a tiered vault that has multiple levels of enhanced security, including 24/7 armed guards, spells of protection, force, and alarms. At last estimate, the Guilded Reserve had over 107,396,186 GP in its stores.

Design

The building itself is a series of cylindrical spires with domed tops, it is said that each spire represents one of the cultures of Espen. The largest spire at the center is said to hold a bulk of the gold the humans keep in reserve. Their weath has bought them a great deal, though the human army is by far the smallest and poorest armed, their gold reserve promises that any war with them will be prolonged and expensive as they can literally afford to throw gold at a problem until it goes away. The spires are interconnected through an elaborate network of corridors and stairs which are confusing and disorienting by design to dissuade any would be theives.

Ownership/Management

The Goblins are the only non-human race granted unlimited access to the vaults in the Guilded Reserve. As the designers of both the building and the security measures that secure it, the gobline managed to negotiate the position of Head Goblin In Charge or HGIC at every Bank of Espen location, including the Guilded Reserve. Currently the Guilded Reserve is managed by Pakpok who also balances the ledgers for every Bank of Espen location south of Pra'shad.

Security

In addition to a variety of protective magic, its said that Old World Magics were used in it construction. As for what specific Old World Magics were used, well only the very highest levels of Goblin and Human leadership know the answers to that secret. A 24 hour rotation of Elder Goblins and Golden Vipers patrol the grounds around the Guilded Reserve and the halls inside. In its history, only one man has attempted to break into the Guilded Reserve, upon his capture he was sent to The Pillory or Immortality in Everhold City.
