The Gold Standard - River City

History:

Standard houses act as the check and balance to the wealth of humans and goblins. The Gold Standard ensures that gold coins in circulation are:

1. Not Counterfit
2. Greater than 72% Gold
3. Not it sub-standard condition.

Gold coins that do not meet standard are sent to Viggrom to re-mint. The Gold standard needs one thing above all else, an acid produced by a rare plant, native to only a few areas in Espen. The Iblis Flower and the rare acid it produces allow the gold standard to conduct, which is why it is illegal everywhere (save for human and goblin territories) to pick them. Many suspect this flower is one of the few things that balance the scales of power of Espen.

Management:

Per the Sant Oweir Pact, a the managing director must be a member of the pact. Humans, Gnomes, Dwarves, and Genasi all were a part of the original pact with Drow and Tabaxi becoming nominal members and holding no positions of authority.
