History & Lore

The massive facility capped with a glass and cast iron canopy is one of the largest emporiums in Espen. At its peak, it held over 100 vendors and on average saw nearly 3,000 transactions a day. However, due to the Twilight District Incident, the Emporium has seen a significant decline in business and vendors.
The emporium is now seen as a refuge of last hope for vendors selling untested or otherwise dangerous magical items and relics. In most cases, not even the vendors are sure how the usage of these items will turn out. This has done nothing to calm the tensions in the surrounding neighborhoods who have vocalized their opinions on SGE through various protests and boycotts of the remaining businesses.
In an effort to appease the surrounding areas it is made very clear that no items may be tested inside the city limits, doing so comes with very strict sanctions, fines and possible jail time.  These ordinances have only served to further drive down business at the Emporium, bt despite all this one stop shop for bleeding edge magical items perseveres.

Management

While there is no official manager of the Emporium, there is a list of standing ordinances to codify acceptable behavior. All disputes are brought to the Auditor General for resolution.
