Lady Luck

History:

Despite Damesport status as a "sleep" village in Southeast Espen, it is not without the element of vice that is so common among larger cities.  The town's seemingly fortuitous start inspired a number of urban legends relating to its inception.  The most popular of which involves the story of Lady Luck, a halfling who, as the legend has it, navigated her way from Parce allowing a simple silver coin to decide the direction of the party she was leading.  It is unclear whether there was a higher power at play, or whether the halfling had particular forewarning of the fall of Parce or whether she was simply the luckiest person on in Espen at the time.  But whatever the story, the legend has taken on a life of its own.

Ownership:

Though the story of the shop's provenance is in question, its owner, a carefree Tiefling lass with a devil-may-care attitude staked her claim to the property through rather unorthodox means.  One one particularly aggressive night of gambling at the DameSport Festival Grounds she staked a 104-1 long shot to win the tournament. The 130 GP bet landed her winnings of over 13,000 GP, more than enough to purchase Lady Luck from its previous owner and just the right type of business to sate her evergrowing gambling addiction.
