Kingsweed Extract

Medical Findings

Used to treat diseases of older age in elves, Kingsweed Extract has psychedelic effects and can be used to induce sleep at low levels and induce hallucinations at high levels. Most notably used to "clarify the minds" of the Ashen Elders, who, after living multiple centuries have trouble differentiating the recency of events. The extract is also said to have curative properties but only when taken in conjunction with Kamala Root.

Herbalism

The pulpy mass at the center of a seed from the Kingsweed tree is notably used as an astringent in Elvish culture where beauty is highly valued, however, dwarves who are less prone to the nauseating effects of the pulp use it to induce a temporary sense of euphoria. However, if one were to extract the pulp and filter it through a cheesecloth, then boil it until foam appears, one would have produced Kingsweed Extract. A useful reagent for brews impacting states of consciousness.
