Brühousen Arena & Champions Series

History & Lore

The Brühousen Arena was constructed from the derelict Brühousen Fort, which served as a base of operations during the sacking of Flux and the subsequent Genassi rebellions. The Fort suffered its most significant damage when the colossal visage of General Athil Bristlebane was damaged in the second Genasi rebellions when under cover of darkness a particularly crafty Genasi snuck into the fort, climbing to the top of Athil's visage and dousing it in a fast-burning oil. After setting the fire, the city's alarm bells began to sound sending a majority of the guards scrambling towards the arena. A response the Genasi, who had secreted themselves in the city, suspected would happen, and using the distraction, they stole 391 weapons from the tiered armory.   Today the Arena is the crown jewel of the T.E.C.S. and houses the champions series. Qualifications for the Brühousen Championship Series require a win at two of the Major Tournaments within the last year.

Management

Currently, Oyva Pozgra is the Master of Ceremony at the Brühousen Arena. While the other larger arenas in Espen are strictly for combat, the games at Brühousen are a near 3-week long celebration of combat, pageantry, skills tests, and tradeshows. This has made Mithrigal a hotspot during the weeks of the tournaments. Though Oyva doesn't exactly allow the arena to sit idle just because it's the slow season, she has rented the space out to the Carnivale Maxima, Concerts, Impromptu Markets, and even an art exhibit.

Rules of Engagement

As the peak of martial combat, the Brühousen Series has only one rule. Combatants must stay in the arena.
