The Great Tree of Manaleya (Coo-zslow)

The Great Kouzlo Tree of Manaleya       The great Kouzlo tree of Manaleya is the largest exampleof its species. These trees grow along they ley line all across Esparea. As the great Kouzlo tree is of such extrodinary proportions it is speculated that it grows atop the original source of magic for Manaleya. The great Kouzlo tree can be seen from as far away as the coastal cities of Kesh'mhett desert. shrines are built right into the buttressed roots, as well as at intervals all the way up to its expansive branches. Large glowing fungi form stairs and paths up the sheer face of the trunk. This is a very important spiritual site for all those who believe in animism. people from as far away as Oosugon come here to visit the many shrines of different Lao Ki and pay respects, as well as to trade skills and knowledge with the Manaleyaian people. The roots of the great Kouzlo tree spread across the ground of Kohmatu and even form massive wooded bridges across the largest of the islands. The Manaleyaians believe that these roots will eventually spread across all of Esparea linking all the random leylines back together in an infinite circle which will help to ensure that Esparea is always fully charged with magics.
The great tree grows on Kohmatu in Manaleya, While other examples of Kouzlo trees have been seen throughout the realm of Esparea this one is by far the largest ever recorded. These trees seem to grow exclusively on ley lines it is not know if these trees grow as a result of ley line or if the trees existed on their own and have become enhanced due to their propentensy to grow on ley lines

  • Buttress roots also known as plank roots are large, wide roots on all sides of a shallowly rooted tree. Typically, they are found in nutrient-poor tropical forest soils that may not be very deep. They prevent the tree from falling over while also gathering more nutrients Buttress roots are aerial extensions of lateral surface roots and form only in certain species. Buttress roots stabilize the tree, especially in shallow saturated soils, thereby resisting toppling.
