Way of the Shinobi

As a shinobi you attempt to become a master of the 20 disciplines of ninjutsu.   Master of weapons: This subclass is chosen at first level. If you are training to become a shinobi add proficiency with martial weapons at first level as you train the different disciplines of weapons, including Tai-jutsu, Ken-jutsu, Bo-jutsu, Hanbo-jutsu, Shuriken-jutsu, Kusari-jutsu, Sô-jutsu and Naginata-jutsu. You can choose a Kusarigama, Kusarifundo or a Naginata as your starting weapon instead of the shortsword or any simple weapon. Any non-heavy weapon is considered a monk weapon for this subclass.  

Shadow disciplines

  At level 3 you gain a grasp at mastering stealth and infiltration, and make your enemies wonder if you were even there. You gain:   Shinobi Iri: By using one ki point you cannot be seen while hiding and standing perfectly still, you can maintain this effect for up to 30 minutes. You can only use this ability if the creature searching for you doesn't know where you are.   Inton Jutsu: You can get yourself anywhere, you gain proficiency with thieves tools.   Cho ho: You learn how to read lips and may cast Comprehend languages by spending 1 ki point.   Boryaku: As a bonus action you may spend 2 ki points to teleport up to 30 ft and leave a shadow clone behind, this clone looks exactly like you and mocks your usual movements, whenever a creature attacks it the attack misses and the clone disappears.   Henso Jutsu: You gain proficiency with the performance skill.

Combat disciplines

  At sixth level you master combat on any environment and situation, learning ways to augment your fighting. You gain:   Bajutsu: Whenever you attack from your mount you can dismount for free as part of your attack, moving an extra 10 ft in the direction your mount was heading for free, and gain advantage on the attack by spending one ki point.   Suijutsu: You get 30 ft swimming speed.   Kayakuyutsu: You incorporate the use of gunpowder into your combat techniques, you can craft different kinds of explosives and throw them as a bonus action at up to 30 ft away. You can store up to 3 explosives and may craft 1 whenever you finish a long rest.  
  • Metsubushi: A blinding bomb. When thrown any creature within 5ft of the bomb must make a con saving throw (dc = 8+your proficiency+your wisdom mod), on a fail the creature is blinded until the end of it's next turn.
  • Torinoko: A smoke bomb. When thrown the bomb creates a fog cloud effect for up to 30 seconds that doesn't require concentration.(Weather conditions may alter the effectiveness of this smoke)
  • kibaku kunai: An explosive kunai that can be used as any other kunai when attacking, on impact it deals it's damage and explodes, each creature within 5ft of the target makes a dex saving throw(dc=8+your proficiency+your wisdom mod), a creature takes 3d6 fire damage on a failure and half on a success
 

Knowledge disciplines

  Starting at lvl 11 you can prepare to fight in any environment and situation, learning to predict weather patterns, geographic features and even mastering your inner spirituality.   Chi mon and Ten mon: you gain expertise with cartographer's tools and you can predict the weather on a place for the next 3 days by attempting a perception(wis) check, dc=12+(1-5 depending on the weather changes for the next 3 days).   Seishin Teki Kyoyo: You learn to see the spiritual side of life, you gain advantage on insight checks, by spending 4 ki you can step into the spirit realm until the start of your next turn, while on the spirit realm you appear as a translucent figure e and cannot be interacted with or interact with the material plane.    

Master of Ninjutsu

  At 17th level you learn the last of the 20 disciplines becoming a true shinobi.   Kuji kiri: Your basic disciplines that use ki gain an upgrade as you master the hand movements required to activate them.
  • Flurry of blows: now makes 3 attacks.
  • Patient defense: now also gives you +2 Ac.
  • Step of the wind: You take both disengage and dash whenever you activate step of the wind.
