The Halfling Gods

Just as the halflings are a divided people, their worship is split across two gods as well, each reflecting the ideals of a different group of the halfling people, but still family at the end. Darda Undermeadow is generally considered to represent the agrarian mossfoots, while her son Falpos Nimblefoot represents the wanderlust of the travelers, but in truth their worship isn't nearly that cleanly divided. Many mossfoots entreat Falpos to keep their foolishly wandering relatives safe, and as they bed down for the night many travelers spare a prayer to Darda to both bless their campsites and to keep the stodgy homebodies back home safe.

Darda Undermeadow

Main Article: Darda Undermeadow

The protective mother of the halfling people, Darda Undermeadow is generally seen as the goddess of the mossfoots, embodying family, nature, and protection of the home as well as the traditional halfling luck. In reality, she loves all of her children equally, as the travellers colorful wagons are as much their houses as the burrows of the Mossfoots, and wherever they set up camp for the night are their homes.

Falpos Nimblefoot

Main Article: Falpos Nimblefoot

The embodyment of the wanderlust that overtakes many halflings during their lifetimes, Falpos is the child of Darda and the halfling god of freedom and travel, but shares his mother's focus on family and luck. Falpos may be seen as the patron god of the travellers, but there are few halflings who don't whisper a quick prayer to him when preparing for a journey, whether that be into parts unknown or taking a cart of vegetables to market.
