Paulette "Patina" D’Aramitz

Lady Paulette D’Aramitz (a.k.a. Patina)

Physical Description

Apparel & Accessories

Paulétte is a short girl, standing at a nominal 5’2”. She appears as though the gods decided to pack as much as possible into making her eye-catching in her own ways though. She has long bright red hair, a studious complexion, and eyes the color of copper and patina (hence her nickname). She dresses herself in the clothes that her grandmother made her: a corset, stockings, and a leather vest-dress. She has seen all of her clothes augmented, hiding the armor that covers nearly all of her body, as well as storing her many inventions. The armor that covers her is another creation of her’s, seemingly bonded to her through a method she’d read about from a long since forgotten race.

Contacts & Relations

Bronte Zien, (class: Fighter, improvised weapon pickaxe) first childhood friend. -his voice deepens to a false tenor when speaking about Patina- “Oh Patina? Yeah, yeah.. I’ve known her for forever, we get along a’right. Does she ever.. talk about me, y’know? Don’t tell ‘er I asked.” Léandre D’Aramitz, (Class: College of Whispers Bard) father. -he speaks in a wealthy manner with more than a hint of general disappointment- “Why do you ask me of my daughter? She’s most likely wasting her time away in the port whilst some of us have more pressing matters, like keeping a lazed city afloat. Find her yourself and don’t waste any more of my time.”   Lylah D’Aramitz, mother. -she looks up from a partly faded bottle of rum with a half smile, the other half hiding exhaustion or discontent, slurring her words a little- “Patin… uhh.. ‘s what her grandmother calls her, right.. So you mean Paulétte? What’s she managed this time? She’s ok, right? Oh good.. that’s, yeah… good. I hate seeing her quarrel with her father so often, but I can’t fault her strong will. Watch over her, please?”   Eláinne D’Aramitz (Class: Oath of the Crown Paladin, spear and shield), grandmother. -the aged Aasimar lifts from her chair, smiling ear to ear and quickly snatching the nearest of many pictures of Patina, shoving them closer- “Oooh, you know my darling Patina?! Isn’t she just wonderful! She takes after my dearest Simon, how I wish they could have met.. I’m so happy that she seems to be making new friends! Oh I miss her already… Nearly forgot! Would you like some tea, or perhaps some brandy?”   Simon, grandfather(deceased ~30y) --   Jonathas and Jelica Shadzh (Changelings who take turns being eachother. Class: Both are Echo Knights, their echo being the person in the relationship they aren’t currently being), innkeeper friends (hipster newlyweds). -both ‘humans’ clap their hands together excitedly and look to each other- Jonathas: “Little Pauléttatina! Omigosh is she back in the port? Damn… we were hoping to catch her sometime.” … Jelica:“Oh, we’ll she’s sort of.. like when your best friend has a little sister, or perhaps a niece, or maybe like when your older friends have a child? I guess you could call her a little sister that we never really asked for, but that we’re so happy to have! She’s just so CUTE, though I wish she’d take a bit of clothing advice, and give poor Bronte a chance.”   Ruth Scrimshire, lead of Port Aíre foundry. -the small, plain looking gnome woman covered head to toe in a metalworking apron and soot adjusts her helmet, resting a large doming hammer onto her shoulder- “The hell ya want with the girl? Waste I say, sendin’ good help off to the academy.. Can’t much blame ‘er wantin’ ta get away I ‘spose, but could’ve stuck around a few seasons I say. Dad o’ her’s got us workin’ into mornins an’ I ain’t got the hands ‘r hammers fer any more of his shite.”   Varíccia Nihla (Class: Swarmkeeper Ranger, Flying Fish swarm and dual pistols), dockmaster and privateer of air and sea (role model). -the wild and beautiful genasi would toss her hair to the side before diving from the crow’s nest, landing softly onto her feet with a rush of wind, grinning devilishly- “Aye, I know ‘er.. taught her to sail, fly, an’ hit a gold coin from ‘cross the deck with a hand pistol. Touch a hair on ‘er head an’ no doubt she’ll show you the last bit. She’s the type to shoot honest with ya, unlike ‘er snake of a sperm donor.. She’s one ‘o me own, not by blood maybe, but it ain’t matter. She’d make a reight first mate someday… course I hope she makes better decisions ‘an I ‘ave..”   Gharan Zien (Class: Aberrant Mind Sorcerer), father’s advisor and Bronte’s father. -The Goliath of a Goliath snaps a book closed, wearing a knowing grin as the lights in the room seem to dim a bit. The door behind would slam shut as he gestures to a seat.- “Please, sit down. We’ll get to young Patina, after we discuss your asking about in the port. What are you hoping to accomplish? You know.. there is talk of revolutionaries within the city. I’d love to hear what you’ve heard? Nothing.. truly? Pity. Things should have been stirring by now…” -he’d furrow his brows a bit, grinning and waving a couple of fingers, causing your head to feel a bit fuzzy, perhaps you drank more than expected?- “You seem in need of rest. I would recommend the Glistening Gastropod. There’s a wonderful couple who would take great care of you. At any rate, go away.”   Brutus Notum, tech instructor and mentor (also role model). -The lumbering mid-30’s half-Minotaur would spin on a heel, grinning beneath a single glowing monocle. His other eye would be covered by a hobbled together bronze eyepatch with a small welded tin cartoon heart. He stuck the tip of the spear he’d been working on into the classroom floor, leaning onto it with crossed arms and a warm grin as he lifted the monocle to speak in a slightly grizzled tone.- “Oi there, you’d be asking about my little protégé? Just missed her I’m afraid.. Came through a bit ago rattling off something or another ‘bout this spear, had something in mind with a bit of enchanting, if you’ll give me a moment..” -With a nod, he pulled the spear loose from the floor, giving it a bit of a flourish before sending it flying into a far wall where it stuck with a thud. A snap of his fingers brought the spear back to his hand, after which he’d shake his head and laugh before returning it into the floor.- “Bwahaha! The girl’s done it again.. Not much of a technological upgrade, but damned if it isn’t fun! Just sorta gets me, ya know?” -He itched underneath of his heart eyepatch, beaming warmly for a while, forgetting what the initial question even was.-   Vera Cesta (Class: Big ol’ Bitch), school nemesis noble brat. -The girl would turn slowly, lofting a brow and wearing her signature scowl.- “Why would you want to know about her? Disgusting honestly.. Always wearing those dirty old clothes and hanging out with the grossest friends. She makes literally zero sense. You know she’s supposedly nobility? My father tells me about her, but I don’t believe it for a minute. Honestly, just look at her..” -She’d roll her eyes, pointing a finger down the hall and feigning a gag before walking away.-
