Rem Kylpatrik is a gruff old soldier. Long past the days of youth and vigor he has found himself a jaded and somewhat bitter man. As a younger man he left home bright eyed and full of ideas. Joining the military thinking he would become a hero and return home to cheers and acclaim. Pushing hard he was bright and found he had a head for leadership. His superiors moved him to the head of his class and soon gave him command of a small group of soldiers. After months of boring scouting trips and countless days of guard duty he was transferred to a small outpost. His first command, finally things seemed to be his way
After a few years the monotony began to set in and with no word from his superiors Rem began to stagnate. Growing lax even the troopers started to cut some corners. It was now that that a bandit decided to gather the small bands in the area together and make a move on the city of Elonia. Rem suddenly found his force attacked and overrun. After that Rem returned to Elonia, being stripped of his command by the Military in a completely useless show of discipline. Everyone knew what had happened. It was then that Rem left his life in service and started his quest...
