You sprout the spines of the Tepac all over your body, forming a defensive barrier that hurts those who attack you. Your AC gains a +2 magical bonus for the duration of the spell. Also, when a creature attacks you with a melee attack they must make a dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failure, they take 2d6 piercing damage. On a successful saving throw, there is no effect.
