You gain a +2 bonus to AC against ranged attacks while you wield this shield. This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC. In addition, whenever an attacker makes a ranged attack against a target within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to become the target of the attack instead. If the ranged attack misses you, you can use your reaction to catch the missile in your shield and project it back at the attacker. You make a ranged spell attack against the target and on a successful hit you deal 1d10 force damage. You can use this ability equal to your proficiency bonus. A shield is made from wood or metal and is carried in one hand. Wielding a shield increases your Armor Class by 2.
