Jar of Souls

These jars are incredible powerful arcane implements that the Spirits created during the Spirit Age. It is unknown how many exist but it is believed that they are not many.
Azarath of the Adventurers of the Briar is known to be in possession of one of these items.

The jar of souls is a necromantic device that is used to capture the souls of creatures within it. The more souls that are captured within the more it fuels the powers of the wielder.
Attuning to the jar gives the wielder a +1 bonus to Spell Attack and Spell Save DC. When the wielder kills a mortal creature they must make an arcana or religion check DC 16 to trap the creature's soul in the jar. For every 5 souls trapped in the jar, the wielder gains an additional +1 bonus to Spell Attack and Spell Save DC.
Any creature who uses this item slowly turns its alignment to Evil.
