Flyby. The angel doesn’t provoke an opportunity attack when it flies out of an enemy’s reach. Magic Resistance. The angel has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. Oath of Duty. The angel swears an oath at the beginning of combat and gains benefits during combat based on their choice.
Glory Oath. When the angel kills an enemy it gains a bonus equal to its Charisma modifier to it attack rolls and damage rolls until the start of its next turn.
Protection Oath. When an ally within 15 feet of the angel takes damage the angel can give it resistance to all damage until the end of its next turn. The angel can do this a number of times equal to its Charisma modifier.
Revenge Oath. When the angel takes damage it can mark the enemy who hit it with a curse. Until the end of its next turn, it has advantage on all attacks against that target.
Defensive Oath. The angel gains a +2 bonus to AC but can only make one melee attack a round.
Actions
Multiattack. The angel makes two melee attacks. Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) slashing damage, or 8 (1d10 + 3) slashing damage if used with two hands, plus 8 (2d8) radiant damage. If the target is within 5 feet of any of the angel’s allies, the target takes an extra 2 (1d4) radiant damage.
The duty-bound angel is born when a paladin with strong morals dies and their Spirit moves on. They are the quick-moving forces of the angelic hosts who are able to adapt to the changing situations on the battle ground.
