This chisel has 7 charges which can be used to carve runes into any surface. With the chisel in hand you can expand a charge to cast the following spells, Absorb Elements (1 charge), Alarm (1 charge), Arcane lock (3 charge), glyph of warding (4 charge), symbol (7 charges).
Using an additional 3 charges when etching the rune causes the rune to last 1d6 days longer than it normally would, even when triggered.
The chisel regains 1d6 + 1 expended charges each day at dusk. If you expend the chisel’s last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the chisel crumbles to dust and is destroyed.
