Chellon

The chellon spirit is the ferryman of the dead mortal souls. They are often confused with ghosts. They are insubstantial creatures that appear to be gaunt men and women of various races. It is said that their true forms are not known. What sets them apart from ghosts is the trident they all carry and the fact that their forms are often changing what they look like from the insubstantial mist of one mortal race to another.
