Ingthads

Every dwarven citizen belongs to one of the Estates. After reaching the final stage of development at the age of 25, a dwarf is expected to apply for a position in whichever Estate their talents and abilities are most aligned. This is usually, but not always, aligns with the Estate their family belongs to. Once they secure a position in an Estate, the dwarf is free to chart their own course, whether that means starting their own company, undertaking their own research, pursuing a military career or devoting themselves to worship of a particular god. They are free to travel the world, even leave the Dominion for an extended period of time, but so long as they remain a citizen of one of the Karaths, they are continually bound to their chosen Estate.
