Imperial Nullifier

If the Imperial Praefects are the Empire's hammer, blasting through all opposition with righteous fury and sorcerous might, then the Nullifiers are its slender blade, finding their enemies weaknesses, no matter how small, and exploiting it with ruthless precision.  Far more numerous than their magically charged counterparts, the Ministry of Enlightenment is more likely to call on the services of a Nullifier when capturing or eliminating a magic-user than a Praefect, for the simple fact that it is a waste of resources to assign a Praefect to anything but the most powerful, most dangerous targets. For everything else in between, a Nullifier is perfectly capable to dispatching them with just as much efficiency thanks in part to the Magic Disruption Field which emanates from their body at all times, even when asleep. Within the sphere of this field, magical weapons become inert, spells miss more often than hit, and magical traps fizzle out into harmless sparks and flashes.  This, combined with Nullifier's extensive training in assassination techniques, makes them the perfect foil for any spellcaster attempting to escape the Empire's judgement.
