Shizari the Magnificent informed me that Typhonia - the oceanic demi-goddess responsible for a large group of humans yo mutate with tentacles, gills, scales, and other aquatic features - was the daughter of The Shadow in the Depths.
From the document "Praise to the Ascendant," Pith is described as "the Titan-Breaker, who forced the sea to submit." It seems likely to me, that Pith was responsible for the downfall of the Shadow in the Depths. I haven't personally encountered much more about this particular entity, but will write back when I do!
In our vision of this entity, we saw a gold-skinned orc put a sea monster in a headlock. This is likely both Pith and the "gold man" worshipped by some of the local tribes.
