Summon Celestial Ally
Effect
You summon a celestial from the Celestial Planes of challenge rating 3 or lower, It appears in an unoccupied space that you can see within range. The celestial disappears when it drops to 0 hit points or when the spell ends.
The celestial is friendly to you and your companions for the duration. Roll initiative for the creature, which has its own turns. It obeys any verbal commands that you issue to it (no action required by you), as long as they don't violate its alignment. If you don’t issue any commands to the celestial, it defends itself from hostile creatures but otherwise takes no actions. If you know a specific celestial in the Celestial Planes you may try to summon them directly, but they may make a Charisma save to resist being called.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the challenge rating increases by 2 for each slot level above 3rd.
Side/Secondary Effects
The area inside the summoning circle for this spell becomes hallowed, as the Hallow spell until the next sunrise.
Manifestation
When this spell is complete, there is a flash of dazzling light, the sound of horns, and the smell of warm sunlight on grass.
Material Components
A blessed token from a god who lives on the Celestial planes or a feather from a celestial's wing. These items can be used multiple times. You can also use a vial of celestial blood, the spell consumes this as part of the casting.
Gestures & Ritual
The ritual to complete this spell is quite involved. Reading out loud from sacred texts, the sounding of bells, or the singing of prayers may all be involved.
