Summon Animal Ally

Effect

You summon an animal from the Beastlands of challenge rating 1 or lower, It appears in an unoccupied space that you can see within range. The animal disappears when it drops to 0 hit points or when the spell ends.   The animal is friendly to you and your companions for the duration. Roll initiative for the creature, which has its own turns. It obeys any verbal commands that you issue to it (no action required by you), as long as they don't violate its alignment. If you don’t issue any commands to the animal, it defends itself from hostile creatures but otherwise takes no actions. If you know a specific animal in the beastlands you may try to summon them directly, but they may make a Charisma save to resist being called.   At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the challenge rating increases by 2 for each slot level above 1st.

Manifestation

The animal brings a smell of whatever region it was from. A brown bear brings a smell of pine forests, while a cheetah or lion might smell of savannah grass or red clay earth.

A piece of fur, skin, tooth, or claw from the type of animal you are summoning.
Gestures & Ritual
The ritual circle used to summon this animal must be large enough for the whole animal to appear in. For smaller animals like cats or birds, that's fine; for larger creatures like bears or elephants, this may pose a problem.
