Lonil

Lonil is the city of salt, being the city situated most closely to the shores and having the most active docks. Their unabashed proximity to the ocean means that a curious sort of fog carries still-salty water from the ocean into the city each morning, leaving crystals akin to hoarfrost appropriately known as hoarsalt by the residents.
This hoarsalt phenomenon means that, rather than the typical temperate climate that port cities are typically expected to enjoy, Lonil is actually even more arid than the more landlocked cities. However, it also serves as the preservaiton capitol of Trichtania, exporting all kinds of dried and preserved goods, especially jerkies. Additionally, they are the primary fishing city and thus export that as well.
