Structure
The Keb Empire is ruled over by its Emperor from the Amaline Palace, an embodiment of decadence in the sparkling empire. The Emperor themself enjoys relatively few real responsibilities on a daily basis, the actual caretaking the empire left to the Council, the oligarchical group of leaders who work to decide the direction the empire will take. Originally, the Council was chosen every year by the Emperor, but in the time since they have gained power and made the Emperor merely a figurehead while they select their own members and enact the policies they decide are best.
The Council similarly control the Dukes and Duchesses who preside over the various Duchies the Empire is split into, choosing who will preside over recently vacated positions - as well who will... step down... from their positions.
Culture
The Keb Empire is dominated by the presence of a unique quartz-like material common in the region - roadways, buildings, accents, and other architectural features are all formed of this uniquely brilliant stone they call Amalite. As a result, quarriers and stonemasons are highly prized among the Ker, such artisans being elevated to higher social positions almost regardless of social backgrounds.
Beyond the stone industry, the country also has a booming watercraft side - with an extremely well developed shipping system to traverse between the many bays and pensisulas the southern coast enjoys, and eventually being used in the northern coast as well.
