Puff Bunnies

You always start by eating the ears

A cute Firen appetizer, Puff Bunnies are a savoury pastry. Most commonly they are made from puff pastry shells (Humans usually fill these with cream), which then is filled with rabbit meat and a garlic aioli to go with. The shells have the top of the bottom attached with this sauce. Two are stacked on top of each other. The final piece is the pastry shaped into longer pieces to act as the ears. It's typically decorated with a bacon bit nose and eyes.
Though puff bunnies don't have to be made with rabbit meat, it is the most common and how they earned their names. While some may refer to them as a treat for children, given the shape looks close to the squeaky toys that most Firen children grow up with, it is hard to dispute the joy that enters an adult's eye when they see a row of the bunnies on the table. Especially when adults can manage to fit the entire treat in their mouth.
The most common alteration is creating them with fruit and cream instead, drizzled with chocolate on the outside.
