Personal history

The first time I saw a dragon, both me and my twin were scared of it, but I wanted to ride it / tried to ride it. I didn't get along with other girls my age, I was very tom boyish. I didn't stand down from a challenge. When the soldiers from Adarlan showed up, I was too young to understand what was going on, and I tried picking a fight with a soldier I ran into, I often would tell them to "Go home! We don't want you here!". Rhaena knew what was going on and behaved herself politely to help ease things along. My sister is much more savvy and wise than I am (very good spy).
Tom the stable boy and I were close, we played often, rode horses together, fought together, I didn't know what it was I felt at the time, but there was something there with him. When the King of Adarlan came by though, our playing got too roudy, while he was a little too close, and one thing led to another and my toy sword ended up flying towards the king, who took the slight very poorly. Tom saw the look on the King's face, and he acted before I could say anything, "It was my sword, sir." The King ordered his escorting guards shoot my friend on the spot. Nehemia and my Mother had to hold me back, as my tears fell freely, I couldn't even hear my own screams, could barely see the man, no, the monster that could kill my friend, just a young common boy who did nothing wrong.
When my parents said I was to marry the prince of Adarlan to help ease things between our nations, I was very opposed and vocal about it. Rhaena was trying to talk some sense into me, saying that is was the best for our people, and that political things were tense between our nations. I assumed the prince was snooty, arrogant, cruel, like his father who did this to our people.
