Everything and Nothing

Everything and Nothing are the two swords wielded by the god Joran. They are named for what they take from you. The swords are driven to fulfill their base desires. The deity is often depicted holding one sword in each hand, however when The Judge actually used them it was always in the same hand, as one weapon.
It has been lost to time how the weapons came to be among mortals.

Everything

Everything is the obsidian sword of darkness that consumes energy. When held by a mortal, the sword will consume the very lifeforce of it's wielder. It is driven to amass and consume; it can never be satiated.

Nothing

Nothing is the diamond sword of light that gives energy. This sword is drawn to its companion, and is the only thing that can halt the ravenous consumption of Everything. It seeks to nullify the that would otherwise be wreaked by its other.

Current Times

For ages the swords hung in the Seat of Justice in the Free City of Joran. They could be found mounted in the Sanctum, Nothing crossed over Everthing, the sword of light holding the darkness in check.
It is not known, even to most of the clergy, that the swords were replaced wth fakes. Everything seduced a member of the cloth into freedom and was carried across the sea to the Eastern Continent. Once there, it changed hands time and time again, leaving empty husks of humans in its wake. Over time the sword, through its puppets, amassed great power and forged an empire through blood and betrayal. Eventually Everything manipulated circumstances for the birth of its perfect weilder- a human that could survive without a soul, and thus not wear out as quickly as the others.
In 364CA Lissaveth, with the blessing of the Chief Justice, retrieved Nothing and set out to reclaim Everything.
