Ep 97 Recovery and Revelations

General Summary

We returned to the party with Yaikzal under control with Amos beginning to work on the sword in her arm. He proceeded to convince the sword that a better vessel was nearby for it to empower. As it reluctantly released its grip on Yaikzal leaving her to die without it’s influence Amos broke it over his knee and replaced just the hilt in her body. Returning to the city Drae and Wednesday had an emotional reunion. Partway through her recovery Yaikzal awoke still under the sway of her dragon aspect, feral and dangerous until the party managed to exhaust her little remaining energy. Eventually she awoke and got to see an emotional big red and later an excited Tyth. Settling back into the city Berrian was delivered a letter from Uthgar instructing him not to look up, not to look at the letter again, and to wait until the 15th to call his brothers name and step through the gate. After Drae and Wednesday’s honey moon the party convened and Berrian used gate to travel to a protected dome somewhere in the astral plane where Uthgar awaited. Not trying to fight them now he explained his responsibility in their enemies gathering against them, and his discovery that Aethgar seems to be planning to kill him and split himself further to gather more and more power before attempting to ascend. Their conversation was interrupted by the Astral stalker tapping on the window, seeming to have tracked Berrian to Aethgar’s sanctum.
