Ep 89 Epelon's Fate

General Summary

The party gathered around the deadly stones guarding the outside of Epelon’s tower found their magic portal invaded by a powerful energy that nearly killed one of Arveena’s students. Drae angered the statues watching them from a difference leading to a mad dash to the safety of one of the nearby towers. Returning the following day Lorelei used death ward to help lower the cost of finding the path over the stones not eliminating it entirely. Traveling up Epelon’s tower they were challenged by a door made to test students. Although it attempted to give them easy questions, they found their knowledge disconnected from the ancient door’s due to the difference in their time periods. Berrian disguised the party as automatons to pass through a door that would allow no souls to enter. Within they found Epelon’s final journal and Epitaph revealing his history as the first free simulacrum. Lorelei noticed a presence within her as they began to scan the room for what killed the Epelon. This launched them into a battle with the spell worm. Due to Yaikzal’s suggestion the worm entered Kea’Na whose right eye began to glow green as she turned and finished destroying the spell worm. Turning towards the two clockwork watchers she says “I suppose it was unfortunate to do this in front of both of you.” As they draw their weapons. Roll initiative.
