Ep 79 Pools of Fate

General Summary

Returning from hunting and spending the night on the mountain we followed the party into the strange cliffs that split the sun. The pathways all traveled along the walls and ceilings with boulders rolling against gravity to slow their passage. They found a pathway one leading the old way to the pools through the Underdark, the other dwarven tunnels built by the dwarven Cult of Iron. Taking the path of the dwarves they refused to walk the path of the neophyte instead becoming intruders. They found themselves rebuffed by ancient defenses and watched the ancient ghosts of the Blackhammer kingdom still locked in the battle where many of them fell wiping out the cult. They found themselves battling on a decrepit bridge battling the elite of the cult and the one called the Center who harvested the remainder of the souls as her fellows fell. Yaikzal went ahead of the party entering the pools of fate and gazed into the faces of all those tied to her by fate. There she saw a musty tomb with a sword embedded in a mummy upon which an eye opened, and a connection was strengthened between the two of them. Behind her Berrian finds himself with his featherfall dispelled and his counterspell cancelled as he tumbles towards the magma below.
