Ep 77 Wizards

General Summary

We began with the party’s battle against the rogue wizard Dilesus along with her watery tendrils. The much less experienced wizard was quickly crushed by the party, Drae delivering a potentially lethal shock that addled her mind. The party then went to the chamber with the sword in stone breaking free the mostly useless metal revealing the trap designed to trick wanderers into using it. Upon returning Berrian set to his final requirement for advancement in the Aracnum visiting Arch Magi who might support him. He was turned away initially for his heritage as a hero born. He managed the rare feat of gaining the endorsement of Grandmaster Raul by agreeing to teach the son of their enemies the Blackhammers in Girhammer. Freeing Raul of the boy’s father’s pestering. He visited the mountains of Darrow to also secure the endorsement of The Master of The Forms. An enlightened Roc that looked favorably upon him and introduced him to the reason for the Arcanum’s requirements. Yaikzal managed to spy big red attempting to teach Tyth to control his heat, a fact he attempted to play off. She also had a meeting with Mistress Sarah who asked her to quietly deliver a small wooden box to the Shinning Palace without being noticed, preferably in the direction of the royal quarters. We ended with a handsome armored gentleman Bertrand coming to hire the party for 40,000 gold each to clear the Ponds of Fate for his employer.
