Ep 65 Reunions

General Summary

We began with the party gearing up to go to the lair of the white crowned ape king to try and find a pool of moonlight for Drae to bathe in. After tussling with some big cats, and Drae killing the dragonoid who tried to hire them to kill the Ape king. Kea’Na worked hard to keep the ape calm while the party tried unsuccessfully to communicate with it. Eventually it grew lax enough for Drae to sneak off to the nearby pool of moonlight. An aged voice loudly announced the cause and steps needed to end his curse. This voice also drew the attention and anger of the ape king prompting Drae and the party to flee. Upon meeting up they witnessed another half dragon stooping over its slain companion. Berrian quickly used dominate person to take control of the creature and lead it back to Alochrin where they thoroughly questioned it. Before they could execute it as its usefulness ended Ella one of Berrian’s students spoke up against this. They delivered their captive to the queen and Lorelei tried to have a chat with Ella that ultimately left neither of them satisfied. Yaikzal was visited late at night by a blue dragon born claiming to be her mother. The next morning saw Yaikzal in a difficult and emotional series of conversations with her mother, Lorelei rapidly building up distaste between her and Lazuli. After a game of questions and with Berrian going to spread the song of the butcher to Camrodel Yaikzal had a dream of her father being slowly led to Alcohrin by fortuitous circumstance.
