Ep 49 Pacts and Patrons

General Summary

We began with the party coming out of their 4 month break and all that happened therein. They traveled fairly immediately to the lantern area that they had fought the clay outsiders before. They found the defences much reinforced, prevailing they won a short dismissive but polite conversation from a bow wielding character that told them to return during an evening when they could make time to deal with their world. They went to Yaikzal’s bar and argued with the staff while having some drinks. Drae ended up getting a fight with one of the Twinscale Mercenaries during which he found himself repeatedly thrown to the ground while trying to use his abilities and weapons. His concern managed to anger Yaikzal and Big Red enough to have them kick everyone from the bar. A worried Drae stayed out to watch over the place and was nearly assassinated while on the street. A brief struggle his attacker; the outsider who spoke to them at the lantern mansion, who quickly escaped. The following day with the party gathered Yaikzal was finally cornered into telling everyone except Berrian who refused to enter the bar about the pact she had made with Arbitrary. Lorelei and Drae proceeded to comfort her and Kea’Na seemed entirely unfazed. Berrian for his part went to Master Hall and the elf who came to the cities aid to discover more about what his other option might entail. We ended with him in conversation with the shifting image of an old man trying to convince him to lend divine power to the elf so they can strike at Thessa’Kar directly. The session ended with him saying “SO NOW I’M SUPPOSED TO MAKE HIM A GOD.”
