Ep 48 Supplicants

General Summary

We began with the party with Hagren in Berrian’s room Hagren holding an assassin to the wall. His intercession seemed to be a mark of trust that the party was not quietly working with the outsiders to slight him. After striking a deal with Hagren to help his people home in exchange for them heading to the outsider city to assassinate some of the clay soldiers we leapt ahead to the new year’s celebration a few days later. Yaikzal having just opened her bar invited the party to visit it. Kea’Na brought along a number of unexpected friends including the entire Twinscale mercenary troupe. After much fighting, drinking, and rumor mongering the party returned to their various rests. Yaikzal and Big Red having moved forward in their relationship due to a fortuitous misunderstanding that pushed him into action. Over the next few months Drae re organized his criminals with Lorelei, who also began a money lending endeavor. She took Kea’Na with her into the forest where she managed to commune with a servant of her god who instructed her on a new option for redemption. Returning to gather the resources required led to her forcing a difficult bargain with a desperate mother, collecting a drop of her wisdom with Ari’s help. Berrian began training up his students, gaining and letting go some of his novices, including a disguised outsider by the name of Xylo. Upon Lorelei’s return he began putting into action plans that might give him a way out of Tulnir’s mandate. Yaikzal finished the training of her gladiators and spent much time avoiding the party at her bar and getting to now the Twinscale mercenaries who have made themselves a permanent fixture of it. In a moment of fear and curiosity she traveled alone through the gate to the outsider city. There she prayed to the outsider god Arbitrary making a deal with him to act as one of his bastions of power in her city in exchange for a guarantee of safety for her companions should they lose this game of cities.
