Ep 4 False Hydra

General Summary

The party made their way into the wetlands along the border quickly bumping into a terrifying hydra. Almost immediately they noticed that this was in fact three pixies cloaked in illusion. They learned that flutter and her sisters had lost their home a dead tree with the blood of the land that they had inadvertently turned into a gateway to the plane of shadows instead of the feywild. They put the party under a binding quest to destroy the gateway, drive off the dark ones, and rescue their captive sister. There they found a boundary of bone growing from the tree through which a massive scarecrow blotted out the dark skies demanding offerings to widen the portal. They fought the dark ones and for a brief terrifying moment the arm of the Mouldering one himself. The boundary was burned away, and she dark ones scattered to shadow leaving only the 2 rescued houses of the pixies and the bones of their sister the dark ones had consumed. After comforting the mourning pixies unused to death, they were showed a quiet covered stream that carried them into Ebgarzan. Traveling the coast Cylph’e has come to believe that her uncle’s deadline was a bluff and the party eventually caught up to a band of criminals from Yang, a group from the mythical golden fan. Spotted by their leader while trying to tail them they agreed to travel with them and compete fairly with them should they find the osprey. We ended with them sharing a mistrustful watch with members of the fan.
