Resilience

Resilience is the result of tireless exercises, labor, and training that has resulted in one's body being immensely fit, with a higher tolerance to pain and resistance to attacks. Unlike other proficiencies, this one requires the character to possess at least a minimum constitution of 11.

  • Resilience is a "Trained Use" skill, meaning that it cannot be used until it is unlocked.
  • The cost to unlock this skill is three Proficiency Points.
  • The Attribute Modifier for this skill is Constitution.

The primary benefits of the Resilience proficiency is the ability to boost how much HP the character gains each and every level. At a basic level the character will always receive at minimum 2 hp, never 1. Whenever the player rolls for hp with each level up, they also roll the Resilience proficiency check. If they succeed the check, they can roll their hp twice and use the higher number. Furthermore if they succeeded the check, their hp will never be lower than half their hid die. Example: A fighter rolls a d10 twice and their highest roll is a 3. The fighter would instead gain 5 as that is half of 10. Should the hit die for any reason be an odd number, always round up.
