A character with this proficiency unlocked will be a storehouse of knowledge and facts regarding general information, and certain traits regarding monsters. Upon unlocking this proficiency, the player must select a specific type of monster of which they want knowledge in. The list of monsters is as such: Monstrosities, Dragons, Giants, Undead, Aberrations, Fiends, Celestials, Ethereal & Astral, Fae, Elementals, Constructs, Oozes & Plants, Demi-Humans and Beasts. The character will then possess all general knowledge about the type of monster chosen, as well as special information on monsters. The percent amount of knowledge known about the monster depends on the rarity and how exotic the species is. Should the character wish to press for knowledge on unknown traits/abilities/statistics and such, they must make a proficiency check, with the chance of success dwindling by a modifier of -1 for every additional check. Players without this proficiency must make a proficiency check to learn the general knowledge of the monster, but cannot roll to determine it's traits/abilities/skills, etc.
