Gambler
Characters who grew up around, with, or even as one who practiced and participated often in various gambling, will have the chance to have this particular Extra Skill. For it pertains primarily to the various games (involving dice, cards, bets, and otherwise supposedly chance based games) and how the games are played, the rules and loopholes, methods of physical cheating (like weighted dice, or marked cards), methods of intellectual cheating (like card counting & staging a dice roll), and body control (i.e. poker face), reading people, etc. Thus while the character never has to be the one actually gambling, they do need to have been exposed to the process for long periods of time. This time would need to be vastly longer if the character is learning on their own without a mentor.
With the knowledge and experience of gambling and social skills under their belt, characters with this skill can expertly gauge the outcome of certain things such as the rate of success for rolls or wins, the rate of 'wins and losses' for bets like on races, and other such thing to quickly determine cheaters, scams and rigged events, as well as gauge the overall skill level of other players and even the host of the game. You can also gauge quickly whether someone is bluffing, & read the body language of others to determine if they have something good or bad. Please note that this information does not have to be rolled for unless the acts of cheating, games, and persons being analyzed are experts and skilled in these types of games, or at the very least are wisely allowing occasional 'slip ups' and losses to conceal their overall wins. These rolls are made at a +1 unless gauging someone with the gambler skill as well.
Furthermore, the character can use these techniques to increase their chances of winning in such games. In card games, the skill wielder can attempt to predict the next 3 cards to be played by use of card counting, with a base accuracy of 10%, increased by another 5% for every card drawn in the game (after the initial starting draws), and can do this once every other round in the game. In dice games, the skill wielder can roll with advantage by skillfully rolling the die from the right height, right angle and right speed, using the higher number. However after the second use of this skill, there is a growing chance to be noticed every further use. No one can gauge your expressions or body languages except those with a similar skill (who require a check to successfully gauge and call your bluff). The ability to see through bluff and read bodylanguage, as well as hide your own, can be used outside of gambling games.
