Authenian Scientific Committee

The Authenian Scientific Committee is one of four committees that make up the Authenian Republic. They educate their citizens in the sciences, and hire many of their previous students to work for them as engineers, inventors, alchemists and anatomists.

Structure

As one of the four committees within the Authenian Republic, the Authenian Scientific Committee must have any important actions it makes approved by the Authenian Senate.
The ASC is overseen by Director Troilus Poniros.

Public Agenda

The ASC is driven by the desire to make significant scientific discovery, and share its findings with the public.
The ASC educates the public in mathematics, anatomical studies, structural and mechanical engineering, alchemy and the study of nature.
The ASC is often in charge of the architectural side of constructing government buildings throughout the Authenian Republic. Structural and mechanical engineers are responsible for the creation of all Authenian war machines. By collaborating with the AAC, the Authenian Scientific Committee manages to create the first Arcane Engine, a machine capable of harnessing energy straight from the realm of Tartarus.
The study of Anthropology is researched by the Authenian Scientific Committee. Authenian Anthropologists seek out remote communities with unique cultures and attempt to record the cultural behaviours and traditions of said communities. Many of these Anthropologists have travelled to the Ceilic Region, hoping to study the various clans, Clan Ráille is the most cooperative with these anthropologists, as they enjoy sharing their culture. All the nymphs of Clan Ráille ask in return for their cooperation is that the anthropologists do not attempt to free the nymphs' husbands. Anthropologists find moderate luck in Clans Fianna and Actíre, though if they enter the territory of Clan Gansúil they are likely to be killed.
