Treating Injuries & Performing Chirurgy

A Blackbird may be treated only once per day during Rekindling per injury.

  • Roll: Heal
  • Time: 1 hour
  • Requirements: Skill Rank in Heal, bottle of rotgut, chirurgical tools (for grievous wounds)

Difficulty

  • One Injury: Routine (+10%)
  • Two Injuries: Standard
  • Three Injuries: Challenging (-10%)

Results

  • Success: Begin recuperating
  • Critical Success: Reduces recuperation time by 3 days
  • Sublime Success: Reduces recuperation time by 6 days
  • Critical Failure: Also now suffer infection
  • Sublime Failure: Also add 1 level of Damage

Recuperation Time

Days spent bedridden count for an extra day.

  • Moderate Injury: 1D10+1 days
  • Serious Injury: 2D10+2 days
  • Grievous Injury: 3D10+3 days

The healer’s IB lowers their patient’s recuperation time:

  • IB 1 to 3: - 1D10 days
  • IB 4 to 6: - 2D10 days
  • IB 7 to 9: - 3D10 days

Bloodletting

A Blackbird may be treated only once per day during Rekindling.

  • Requirements: Skill Rank in Heal, chirurgical tools, bandage, jug of leeches

  • Level 1: Easy (+20%)
  • Level 2: Routine (+10%)
  • Level 3: Standard

  • Level 5: Hard (-20%)

Results

  • Success: Infection subsides
  • Critical Success: Recover 1 level of Damage
  • Sublime Success: Recover 2 levels of Damage
  • Critical Failure: Permanent loss of 6% Brawn
  • Sublime Failure: Permanent loss of 12% Brawn

Reflection & Revelry

A Blackbird can recover Peril through either method only once per day. Revelry can aid multiple people. 

  • Roll: Education (Reflection) or Charm (Revelry)
  • Time: 1 hour

Results

  • Success: Recover 1 level of Peril
  • Critical Success: Recover 2 levels of Peril
  • Sublime Success: Recover 3 levels of Peril
  • Critical Failure: Add 1 level of Peril
  • Sublime Failure: Add 2 levels of Peril

Crafting Endeavors

A Blackbird has the time to undertake one Crafting Endeavor per Rekindling, successful or not, though the More Irons in the Fire C&E Talent doubles this number.

Repair Weapons & Armor

A single chosen Blackbird may attempt repairs on any number of pieces of armor and weapons belonging to their Fatebound companions as a Crafting Endeavor during a Rekindling.

Difficulty

  • Worn: Routine (+10%)
  • Frail: Standard
  • Ruined: Challenging (-10%)

Results

  • Success: Remove one level of Degradation
  • Critical Success: Remove two levels of Degradation
  • Sublime Success: Remove all Degradation
  • Critical Failure: Raw materials wasted
  • Sublime Failure: Add one level of Degradation

Tradecraft Items

Up to three items can be created in this manner through a single test and a single Crafting Endeavor. The items created cannot be anything that would be higher than Patronage Level 1 to acquire.
