Gorak
Goraks are a hardy grazing animal adapted to the harsh environment of the northern Empire. Compared to other grazing animals, they are ornery, stoutly built, and have long, shaggy fur. Their most distinctive feature however, is their spade-like single antler protruding from their forehead. A foot wide and up to a yard in length, the gorak uses this thick spade to dig for frozen tubers in the depths of winter. The goraks skin is also studded with bony plates, making them more difficult to kill than other prey animals. Nonetheless, goraks make up a valuable source of meat, fur, and antlers to the hunters of the north.
