Arcanaloth

Among the rarest races in Erden are the arcanaloth, known only to the handful of adventurers insane enough to venture into the most ancient ruins in the world. Eccentric, long lived beings resembling upright foxes, behind their animalistic eyes lies an unfathomable intelligence. The handful of known arcanaloth all share several quirks. Firstly, they all live in ruins once inhabited by Oroborite sects. Secondly, they strike a strange balance between outright murderousness and excessive politeness: Arcanaloth are known to ruthlessly incinerate groups of adventurers, only to invite the next party in for tea. Lastly, they seem to be not of this world.
