Baldur

Baldur is the god of:
  • light
  • joy
  • purity
  • the summer sun

He was among the most handsome and well loved of all the gods of Asgard. Above even his physical beauty was his pureness of heart - a generous and loving god, Baldur gave off light simply by the purity of his character.

During his time in Asgard, Baldur resided in his great hall of Breidablik and had the greatest ship of all time built - Ringhorn. It is said that in Breidablik no evil or unclean can exist.

Legend states that Baldur died at the hands of his blind, twin-brother Hodr, who was tricked by the god Loki. Upon his death he was transported to the realm of Helheim and due to more deception by Loki has been trapped there under the guard of the goddess Hel ever since.
