According to legend, Vecna was Vizier to the two Sister-Queens of Ypt-Before-The-Fall . Greedy for power, he made a deal with Orcus who taught him powerful dark magic and made him into the first Lich. Vecna reigned over Ypt for centuries, first as vizier to the Queens, and then to the Immortal Rulers, before he himself was betrayed by his lieutenant, Kas the Bloody-Handed.
