Mephits

Immortal but minor elemental beings born of the union of Ney and Pale Night. Ney tricked Pale Night into mating and the vast multitude of Mephits were the result.
Mephits come in six varieties - Dust, Ice, Magma, Mud, Smoke and Steam. All share the capricious and mischievous nature of their father, Ney.
After their birth, their mother Pale Night hunted down and destroyed many of the Mephits. Nevertheless, many survived and today can be found in environments which match their nature.
