Knights of the Glove

Imperial military order. Many Knights of the Glove fought on the side of the Church during the Triarchist Crusade.
The order's headquarters are just outside Oldbruggen. A Grand Marshal heads the order, assisted by five Marshals. There are usually around five hundred full knights in the order, plus a further thousand or so 'Chevalls' (adult apprentice knights), another thousand or so squires (boys in training) and many more men-at-arms and servants.
The order is one of the oldest orders of knighthood. Its own legends claim that it was founded even before the coming of the New Gods to Erdde, although most scholars think it more likely that it was founded some thousands of years later. (That would still make it truly ancient though.)
